Hi everyone,

I’m currently in Guangzhou, China, and my tourist visa will expire in a few days. I already have my passport, translated bachelor degree, CV, and work experience, and I’m trying to find a legal long-term solution to stay and work.

At the moment I’m working informally, but my employer doesn’t want to handle foreign worker procedures or sponsorship.

Tomorrow I plan to visit the PSB office in Panyu to ask for a short extension while I organize my situation.

Has anyone been in a similar situation recently in China?

Any advice about extensions, changing status, or finding companies willing to sponsor foreigners would really help.
