Bathing is a huge ordeal
Addie still refuses to allow the mist bottle or a larger container to bathe in. But whenever she decides she is going to bathe? It is like a triathlon.

She picked me out at the pet store. She marched across the floor after I visited her because she wanted to keep hanging out. The pet store owner had to close her cage because she only felt comfortable leaving it open because Addie had never gotten off the cage before.
Her previous owner had her in a cage so tiny she couldn't open her wings. I was told that every morning she got an apple smeared with peanut butter and scrambled eggs for her daily food. Her owner abandoned her at a parrot store where I was friends with the owner.
She can now fly, though she isn't the greatest at it. She has a diet of pellets, vegetables, greens and some fruit. She still isn't a huge talker, but she has recently picked up whistling if I am whistling. When I got her she mostly said shit, good dog, wanna go for a walk? And shut up Addie. Now she mostly says pretty bird, achoo-ty bird(part sneeze, part pretty bird), stop(my fault for using Alexa and Google alarms and timers) and occasionally belts out what sounds like a full sentence I can't quite make out. She still has never learned "Help! He turned me into a parrot!" Or "What's up chicken butt", despite my attempts.
She also knows what ready for bed, wanna go back, wanna go bathroom, want water, want food and wanna go shoulder mean. I have to ask the questions but if it is the one she wants, she steps up then we go do the things
I am lucky to have her in my life.
