My first surf trip was too short ! I caught all lot of steel head and some gaftop catfish. This may be an old dedign but it's new to me. The bottom bobber stop keeps both snd weight together when casting, so it won't helicopter. The top top bobber stopper controls the height and the weight i used was 3oz, the hook was 8/0 with a whole squid, the bobber will float upwards to the bibber stop. So the next time I'll cast farther out and leave some slack There's limits but the leader line can be almost any length. Any thoughts, opinions, questions ???

What seems like a long time without catching any catfish is over. I left one pole out and drove my sister-in-law's golf cart to get some coffee. When I returned, I was blessed, grateful, and content. It was at least 16" long and weight ??? But like I've said before - if you don't have a scale and tape it never realy happened.

3 poles for catfish tonight but at least I have a good smoke in 84° breeze.

I'm finally making my saltwater lures, this one is 5-1/2 long, 1-1/4 in diameter, with a 7/16 cup. I still have to add two vent holes in the cup at 8 and 4 o'clock at a 10° downward angle. The wire is 304 stainless steel .047 Hopefully I'm on the right track ?

I bought this lathe a while back for $50 and with an extra headstock to boot. The motor was trash but I came across Penn State Ind. for $190 with VS. 👍🏼 But I'm more pumped with making my saltwater lures, it's 5-1/2 long, 1-1/4 in diameter, a 7/16 cup. I sill have to add two vent holes in the cup at 8 and 4 o'clock at a 10° downward angle.

This is the first attempt ! I had hoped the company would have responded by now but that was three weeks ago. So I made a temporary laminate plate today and used some tan plastic I made awhile back. I made the top with tan and the bottom front half is clear, the back half is clear with copper fire glitter. The laminate plate will help if they ever reply back, but this is all experimental in design and if there's any benefit to gain.

Habano were at the bottom of my list to start, but I'm getting like it more and I'm drinking less soda, juice, etc. and enjoying the cigar on its own merits. PS - I rediscover club soda again.

At my sister-in-law's lake house with two house blend cigars. No catfish 🙄 just stripers and just morning rain.

I bought this mold a while back when I got into making plastic lures for freshwater fish. So in September my brother, my son and I are planning to fish in Corpus Christi. I bring everything for pier, jetty, and surf fishing. I definitely want to do some surf fishing for pompano but back to the mold, if I do a dual shot of tan and orange, cut the legs and tail off I'll have sand flea ? Not sure if it matters but I could do tan and clear plastic with 2mm orange beads inside the clear plastic ?

It's their unlabelled brand, it's spicy cedar with a smooth smoke. I've been drinking Dr. Pepper but I forgot about club soda to drink.

It's Friday, all I need is another MF Blue and more cowbells !!! Enjoy the weekend, with whatever you like to smoke.

Initially, I didn't like Habano, Corojo, or Sungrown. So I experimented with pairing with different drinks. It's pineapple juice with a good pinch of Black Cyprus salt, it mellows out the Habano and blends the juice and salt with the spice together very well. I do know it does very well on the Corojo. So for now it's smoke and learning.

I made this about 9 years ago and finally decided to finish it with a clear, flat polyacrylic. This is the first coat.
