Hello everyone,

I have an interview scheduled for tomorrow, but due to some personal issues, I won't be able to attend. I asked the HR to reschedule it, but she insisted that I take the interview tomorrow because the interview pipeline depends on interviewer availability.

After I explained my situation, she said she would look into rescheduling, but she wasn't sure if another slot would be available. She also mentioned that if I don't attend tomorrow, the interview might get delayed for quite some time. At the end, she said she would let me know.

It's been a few hours, and I haven't heard anything back yet.

What should I do? Should I reply to the scheduled interview email saying that I'm ready to attend the interview because I'm afraid of losing this opportunity, especially after getting this opportunity after so much struggle?

What would you guys suggest?

Can anyone guide me regarding the interview which is going to be conducted anytime from tomorrow onwards? I have a few doubts and would really appreciate if someone can help me with them:

1. Will there be any telephonic interview, or will they just call me to ask about my availability and schedule the interview?
2. I received this email today. When can I expect the call?
3. Will there be an LLD-based interview as well? In the interview preparation guide they sent me, they mentioned focusing on System Design Basics, including API design, database concepts, scalability, and distributed systems. What should I expect based on this?
4. Is there anyone who recently got this interview or has already given the interview? If yes, could you please share your interview experience?
5. What resources should I prepare from for this interview?
6. Can someone help me find the recently asked questions/topics for this role?
7. This opportunity came on the basis of my performance in last year's HackOn. Will the interview be different in any way, or will they conduct it like a regular SDE-I interview? I have heard that interviews through HackOn can sometimes be different from regular off-campus applications, so I would really like to know if anyone has experience with this.
8. How many interviews can I expect, and can someone provide a detailed breakdown of each interview/round and what is generally asked in each one?
9. The email specifically mentions "Gen AI fluency." How and from where should I prepare for GenAI? What kind of GenAI questions can be asked in an SDE-I interview?
