Edit: It's a little crazy to me that this post is controversial at all. The greater point is that when you're paying a company for their product and it breaks, the community should be able to hold them accountable to fix it. Anyone downvoting this post is voting against that and their own self interest, which is unfortunate. I'm assuming people just passing by were downvoting because Monarch works for them and there are a minority of people that care about this specific issue, but for anyone else passing by I hope you've read this. Most people joining the actual discussion agree with the post. and I think most of us think Monarch is a great product for the most part, but in this way it needs to be better.

I'm pretty disappointed with Monarch that those of us who have been waiting for the functionality of this feature to be restored have been waiting for a year now.

Doing a simple search I found 15 posts where users have expressed their dissatifaction with this feature before I got tired of looking (there are more). Monarch acknowledged this in some of the posts over 6 months ago and still hasn't done anything about it.

Whether or not people like the new feature doesn't matter. No one should find it acceptable that a company would change the existing functionality of a feature and then ignore users who reported that it broke their workflow FOR A YEAR.

We're not even asking for a new feature to exclude transactions from budgets instead of hide them. All you have to do is give us an option to show hidden transaction by default rather than make us toggle it every time we search, and it would work for everyone. Instead, we're being ignored while we continue to waste our time pleading for this change.

I'm tired of being patient. This is a bad look and needs to be called out. Monarch needs to do better, or people will start looking for alternatives.
