PR Collaboration with local tutors?

Hello,

I am Alex. I am launching a free community for O-level, A-level and university students on discord.

Apologies if this is the wrong subreddit for this - but are there any tuition companies or tutors who may wish to collaborate? I am thinking something along the lines of the tutor providing some low-effort value to the community and interact with the community to build relationships and it could be a source of customers for them?

Ultimately what exactly conversations or contributions from a tutor to the community would be is a bit outside my wheelhouse - I'm looking to have some exploratory conversations if anyone is interested?

[Hiring] Zoom Presenter

Company name: Momentum: Study Retreats Pte. Ltd.

Overview

We run all-day virtual study sessions over Zoom for exam candidates. The day is split into timed 45-minute study blocks with breaks, and a room of participants works quietly on camera throughout.

We're looking for 2-3 reliable hosts to keep the room running each Saturday. As a host you will do 1-2 sessions a month. At the beginning of each month the schedule will be agreed for which hosts commit to which days.

This is a light, low-intensity role for someone looking to earn a little bit of extra money on the weekend. You must remain visible on camera, be presentable for our brand, and read from the script occasionally - other than that, you can do whatever you like on your computer to pass the time.

The shape of the day

You're logged in and on camera for the full session (roughly eight hours, four in the morning, four in the afternoon after lunch). During the 45-minute study blocks, participants work in silence — you monitor quietly. You don't need to be actively doing anything, but you do need to be present and reachable. Your active moments are short and scheduled: open the room, run a brief start-of-day and after-lunch briefing from a provided script, count the room into each block, and close the day.

Total active speaking is around five minutes per hour

What matters

  • Reliability and punctuality above all. The session runs to a fixed clock and starts on time, every week.
  • Clear spoken English
  • Confident in computer usage
  • The short active moments must happen on schedule and be done clearly
  • Comfortable being on camera for the day and speaking to a group for the brief scripted parts
  • Calm and steady presence
  • Stable internet and a quiet enough space to be on camera
  • Able to commit to scheduled slots
  • Presentable and professional on camera. You are the visible host of the session and represent the brand to everyone in the room, so a tidy setup, decent lighting, and a professional on-camera presence matter.

Not required:

subject knowledge, tutoring, or teaching experience. We provide the script and the schedule. This is about being reliably present and running the structure to time. Details

Details and Pay:

Saturdays, [08:50–18:15, one hour lunch in the middle] Singapore time
Fully remote, Zoom
SGD 20 per session
This is not an indefinite employment contract, a freelancing agreement on a per-session basis. I aim to run these sessions once a week, we are trialling this at the moment.

To apply: please fill in the following form :) Momentum: Sessions - Zoom Presenter

To apply:

tell us briefly about any experience hosting calls, moderating, or any role needing reliable scheduled presence, and confirm you can commit to the same Saturday slot each week.

To apply, please also record a short video (1–2 minutes) of yourself reading the passage below on camera, so we can see your on-camera presence and hear your spoken English:

"Welcome back, everyone. I hope you had a good lunch. We've got four blocks left this afternoon, same rhythm as this morning: forty-five minutes on, fifteen-minute breaks in between. Before we start, take a moment and type into the chat what you want to get done this afternoon, and what you're picking up in this first block. Get your materials open and in front of you. We'll begin in one minute. Everyone set? Let's get the first block going — three, two, one, and we're on."
