The most "liquid" mandolin?

Curious: regarding resale of mandolins. I assume the most in demand tier of instruments are mid range (where quality is reasonable as is price).

What mandolin would you anticipate is the most easy to resell, at a reasonable price? Entry level Eastmans?

(I recognize this may be unanswerable, but I'm trying to gauge brands/models that have reputation and also have used markets)

Best!

Chop chord question for chords with unplayed strings

Hello and thank you in advance!

I'm a basic level guitarist who has played mandolin a good bit this year (even with some lessons). Getting better and having fun.

For me, 4 finger chop chords are easy! Great. The challenge is playing 3 or 2 finger chop chords and not ringing out unwanted strings (so like a c, f, d, or e chop chord). I have been trying to mute the unwanted string with pinky. I also have been trying to emphasize the bass strings.

Any other tricks for making these basic chords sound their best/ not accidentally ringing out the high string (s)?
