Hi! I’m auditioning for my dream role at my community theatre later tonight, and I just got out of my first year studying for a BFA. We learned about cover letters and that they’re important - but it just feels a little overkill to me. I have my headshot and resume, but I’m debating on giving the table my cover letter at all.

For community theatre directors - what would you think of an actor giving you a cover letter? Would you read it? Would it seem arrogant, or passionate?
