7(!) masses. Spiralling
Does anyone have any similar experiences that didn’t turn out to be cancer? Last week I found a single small lump in my left breast. I thought it would be a cyst or something, but GP sent me for an ultrasound of the left breast. The report didn’t mention a birads score but they told me the results would take 3-4 weeks, and the next day I got a call from my GP that they wanted an urgent biopsy of multiple masses as well as bilateral mammogram and an ultrasound of the other breast.
I’m 38 with 3 kids and feeling terrified. What would the birads score be for something like this?
This is the text in the report:
The clinically palpable lump in the LEFT breast 3 o'clock position situated approximately 67mm corresponds to a 16 x 14 x 11mm irregular hypoechoic lesion with posterior acoustic shadowing. It is uncertain if this lesion is abutting or invading the adjacent pectoralis muscle.
Additional irregular hypoechoic lesions are noted which are as follows:
3 o'clock 64mm from the nipple measuring 7 x 6 x 4mm.
2 o'clock 83mm from the nipple measuring 7 x 6 x 4mm.
4 o'clock 94mm from the nipple measuring 7 x 6 x 4mm.
Well defined ovoid-shaped hypoechoic nodules are also noted which are as follows:
3 o'clock 56mm from the nipple measuring 11 x 9 x 6mm.
2 o'clock 103mm from the nipple measuring 7 x 6 x 6mm.
2 o'clock 100mm from the nipple measuring 6 x 5 x 3mm.
No enlarged axillary lymph nodes noted.
