Gift for my friend

A gift for a friend who is a priestess of Hekate, I embroidered the moon, moon rays and the Hekate figure on the night of the full moon on the third day of the third month, washed it in the sea at high tide, then embroidered the Orphic Hymn to Hekate. The translation, by Sara L Mastros, which I had performed at my friend's house in her temple to Hekate previously.

I then took three pebbles and made a face on each, and cast them in pewter onto a key during the nineth bell of the clocktower near my house whilst reciting the hymn again. Making a full set of three three's.

Finally I finished it by attaching the key and putting it between two pieces of driftwood in her garden.

I used gold thread as a homage to the epithet "saffron robed" which is referenceing the golden hue of a full moon on whisps of cloud. So the moon, rays and then the fabric wrapping the figures are like a cloak of twisting moonlight.
