I’ve watched my dad play this game since I was in middle school I’m now nearing thirty and sad to to see his fav game go. He’s playing until the shut down timer finished

I have a Nikon Coolpix L310 that I acquired from a parent and a Kodak pixpro FZ45. I mainly use the Kodak cam for selfies and nights out but I wanted to take more portraits and landscapes. Is this a good camera to use considering its age or should I shell out for another camera?
