Just wondering what activities there are to do and some side quests to go on. I might be going solo might not be 100% sure right now, but the whole intention is to explore. haven’t been in four years so ready to be back!!!💕✨

Hey guys, since the days are counting down to nocturnal, I just got confirmation from my friend that she will not be able to come with me.

Me and my boyfriend recently decided to go on a break because of some financial/relationship issues that we have going on and this will be the first Festival that I will be doing solo in 5 1/2 years.

I’ve been to nocturnal before it was the very first rave I’ve ever been to, and I went to it with my ex-boyfriend. Me and him are still on Rocky terms so I don’t know if he will be attending with me this September but as of now I’m gonna plan as if I’m going solo.

Do y’all have any tips for solo campers ?

What are your opinions on buying a tent or using a canopy with walls as a tent?

What’s the best solar power generator that I can find? Best budget friendly that’ll last me all weekend.

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Can’t wait to be dancing under the stars with y’all.💕✨

What’s up nocturnal fam! So as the title reads, I am in need of some words of encouragement. As of today, I’m broken up with my boyfriend of 5 1/2 years. We had a dog together for the past three years and he’s taking the dog with him.

It’s a very confusing/disappointing situation. We went to Electric Forest together this past year and I was hoping that during our road trip there things would get better. That clearly didn’t go as planned.🫪

But nonetheless back in December 2025, I bought two tickets and a camping pass for nocturnal as a Christmas gift for him. The tickets are under my name and I plan on giving the second ticket to one of my best friends (with the hopes that she comes). If she doesn’t by chance come, I’m sure I’ll find somebody to go with me.

I guess I’m needing some words of encouragement as I’m now sitting in my empty studio feeling very lonely and trying to keep an optimistic outlook.

I want to attend nocturnal this year. I haven’t been in four years. It was the first race I ever attended, and I was with him. I think it would be good for me to reclaim the space as my own, but I’m feeling a little nervous and just feeling anxious about life in general now. I’m 23 years old and a stupid as it sounds. I thought I had the next few years in my head planned out and now everything’s flipped upside down.

What’s up nocturnal fam! I just wanted to come on here and chat a little bit about trinket culture. My first ever Festival was nocturnal back in 2022. And let me tell you it really changed my life. I’ve been going to Festival’s nonstop since then.

One thing I have really embraced over the years is the trinket culture in our community. I truly love making all kinds of trinkets going out and buying trinkets with the intentions of finding those with the energy that best matches. I love giving people cute little things that make them feel good.

I guess my main questions/discuss discussion here is I just came back from Electric Forest where trinket culture is massive. There’s trinket/fairy houses all throughout the forest. Personally, I found 10 different ones just inside the Festival. And there’s so many people at camp that have their own personal trinket/fair houses. I haven’t been to nocturnal in four years, but is the energy the same? Would I be able to make a trinket house and have it at my campsite and y’all would trade with me if you see it? I guess I’m mainly just asking because I saw how different it was in East Coast Festival compared to West Coast.

Hey guys ! I love forest with all my soul! But this year I wanna look on branching out and trying out some new festivals.

What are some of your guys’s suggestions?
I personally love camping festivals, so those are always ideal.

I’m from Southern California :) if that helps at all, but considering I was willing to travel all the way to Michigan for forest traveling is also not an issue.

Just trying to look for something new and fun to do and try. I love music festivals, and the community. I feel like I’ve been to almost all of the local raves/festivals that are held near me, and I’d like to find something else.

I am attending nocturnal wonderland this September! So definitely looking forward to that just trying to plot out my following months after

Now I know forest is still some days away but for me my travels begin tomorrow 😝I’ll be road tripping from California and I’m currently working my last shift before it’s time to go full Forest mode !!! I can’t wait I’ve been looking forward all year for this!

As the title states I’m dying out here 🤣my road to forest consists of driving 5 days from California to Michigan making hotel stops is Denver and Chicago. I leave this Friday so Thursday is my last day of work and each shift goes by I’m like trudging my way thru 🫠

Hey Forest fam! I just wanted to ask where do y’all go shopping for your Festival fits? I usually end up up-cycling some type of leisure wear or wear some type of clothing that I buy from vendors or a T-shirt. It really truly varies on the vibes.
But just curious as to where you guys go shopping for your fifth I always see everybody in such cute fit fits and I’m trying to find more stuff that is still chill but has some cool designs.

I just submitted my last and final assignment for the spring 26 semester as of 11pm CA time !!! Now I can give me 100% attention to prepping for forest ! Let’s just pray I pass my finals 🫪

I’ve seen some talk about “what do ravers do for work to afford festivals?” On insta and other Reddit threads.

So I’m curious for us foresters what do yall do for you work afford your festivals?
Do yall spring for vip or go GA to save $$?

Me personally I’m a budtender in California. I work full time (4-5days /30-40hours a week) and make roughly 21.50 an hour. I do Ubers on the side for extra cash here and there but not consistently. I’m also a full time student so I did get fasfa this past couple years but that stopped this spring 2026. (Next year gotta pay outta pocket 🫪) but for $$$ towards festivals depending on the size and longevity of the event itself I’ll consider it either my vacation or just a fun weekend.

As for forest that a vacation to me, i just stop eating out as much and spot buy as much non necessities and it genuinely saves me a decent amount. (1-2k from Dec-June) when it comes to tickets options I can’t lie I do go buy and get VIP it’s definitely a hefty price increase but I justify it for how long forest actually is.

Anyway just come chit chat and an interesting topic I think I’d be cool to talk about. I’ve raved with anyone from a college student to a ex police officer to an elementary school teacher. I think it’s pretty cool how diverse the rave community :)
