Just Noticed Eggs

I noticed this female holding onto eggs this afternoon. The minipond has two hyacinth plants floating with good roots and some creeping jenny. This is my first time creating container ponds and keeping Medaka, this group has only been here for a couple of weeks. I am hoping she has what she needs to may the eggs somewhere. I will do some reading but I'm wondering how long does the eggs need to be left on something for the male to then do his thing? Then when do you know its ok to remove the eggs to hatch the fry elsewhere?

First Pond-Plant Questions

Hello! I have created a first minipond with my kiddo. My goals are all hardy plants but some summer tropical annuals are Ok, and remaining no-filter. I would love to work towards all native (zone 7b)

We have maybe 25 gallons (not totally sure), a hardy Lilly plant, "Texas Dawn', two clumps of Anacharis under the water, a hyacinth for the summer, and a bunch of creeping jenny in had in my garden elsewhere I've relocated to the pond.

We added 6 rosy red minnows after about 4 weeks with the plants and they are doing great.

I am learning about aquatic plants and am curious about the marginal one in the black pot. We have an awesome aquatic plant nursery locally and I was told this is hardy and native. The tag calls it "Lavendar Musk" but I keep having trouble finding info on that particular name. I've found "Alleghany Monkeyflower" as the same plant, anyone know if that's accurate? I'm trying to figure out where I should set the pot in the water. I suspect it's too far out of the water atm but wasn't sure. It got a little droopy the other day despite the pot being around 3 inches deep. It revived when I poured water over the pot, leaving me thinking it wants submerged more?

Lilly care: I also read that hardy lollies want planted sideways/to the side of a container its in? This guy is planted in the middle of the pot I bought it in. Anyone have thoughts on this? How often do they need repotted?

Any other good plant suggestions for my area that would be hardy and possibly native? I'd like to add forget me nots but again want to learn how to best situation them around the water!
