I have a south facing slope where even the Doug-firs are showing signs of heat stress in the far northwest. I’m wondering what native or nearly native plants people are having success with in well draining full sun areas in western Oregon and maybe even nw California.
In particular I’m wondering how species like Saskatoonberry, mock-orange, and Scouler’s willow do as I find them naturally growing in full sun and thin soil plant communities up here.
