Hey, my tata harrier BS6 automatic pre-facelift has a weird issue. The gearbox upshifts very slowly on full throttle. The car reaches redline and then it gets stuck there for around 2 seconds, after this 2 second pause the car finally upshifts.

This is a major issue as there is no acceleration in this 2 second lag duration. While overtaking a vehicle today i faced this and was very scary as sudden loss of acceleration while overtaking is a safety issue.

The cars shift fast on part throttle like when you are driving normally in the city. This issue only arises when accelerator is fully pressed.

Is this common behaviour on all automatic harriers/safari or is something wrong with my vehicle??. It has only done 21k kms and this behaviour is there since the beginning.

I got job last year in October. I work at a service based Indian IT company. I completed my training last month and since then i am on bench.

I got data science stream and i hate it. I hate coding too. I regret doing engineering tbh. I have been again put into re-skilling in agentic ai and gen ai. I don’t have any interest in coding jobs. My parents say i am lazy and don’t want to do anything. They say don’t leave your job at any cost. They are right i am lazy and wasted 4 years of my btech. I feel bad whole day and wonder what am i doing with my life. I earn just 20k a month. More than half of it goes into rent. I have to ask my parents for money.

What are my options? I am confused. I don’t have good acads for MBA nor my parents can afford higher education at this time.
