I am a pilot with a small airplane. I am often flying on long distance flights too high to get cell service. My family often sends simple messages while I'm en route. Satellite messages to/from my iPhone is unreliable and distracting while I try to manually position the phone for a good satellite connection, while I should be flying the plane. I doubt the meshtastic net will stretch far enough for us to rely entirely on the mesh network, so I wonder if it's likely that I'd be able to find an MQTT to transmit messages to them? and, would they need to have their own node or could they receive messages directly to the meshtastic app on their internet connected devices?
