Buyer Beware: Pokémon Cards

Posting mostly to vent, but like a lot of people I have been having trouble securing product but was able to pre-order some Pitch Black online - finally! I ended up ordering a booster box in French because the description clearly stated that the packaging was French but the cards were in English.
Flash forward about 10 days after purchase, my order status is still "Order Request Received" but when I go to the product page, it now states the cards are in French. I reach out to CS, they confirm the product is in French but deny my request to have my order canceled/refunded because "the status is to advance".
Yes they state that all orders are final but I had hoped they would be a little lenient considering my order was confirmed at the time and the error was on their end. Alas...no.
I'm not a sealed collector, I was so excited to be able to rip packs with my friends. Now I'm out almost $300 because of a product that was clearly falsely advertised. I have submitted a ticket with my CC company but I'm honestly just super disappointed. Obviously the art is the same and still gorgeous, but 36 packs is... a lot, haha.
