Hey! I was an audit intern this summer in the NYC office. I had all positive reviews (expectations met) from engagements, and my PML and TC liked me. My PML and associates on engagements told me I should be good for an offer and not to worry. PML called me two weeks after I ended on 7/31 to tell me I didn't get the offer. The only reasoning they could give is headcount, which is mainly because of GDC and AI.

Any interns going through the same? Anyone in NYC office hear abt this? What % of interns in audit got a return?

What do I do for my next steps?

Intern in the audit unit. All my reviews are in line with expectations and only developmental comment is note taking (which is given to all apparently and it is noted I improved on it on one of my reviews). Should I be worried of this impacting return? or is it all in the hands of bussines needs ?
