Using a kiddie pool for outdoor time for Tator Tot!
I’ll be setting up a permanent outdoor enclosure next Spring, but for now, this provides some natural sunlight on pretty days. 😊
I have had Tator Tot for almost 3 months at this point, and he/she was around 3 months old when I received them. Tator is my first tortoise, and I’m obsessed with this wonderful little being. Tator gets a daily soak, lives in a closed enclosure with high humidity, and receives lots of fresh weeds from my yard such as dandelion leaves. I have a raised garden bed that will be converted into a permanent outdoor enclosure for Tator Tot, but it won’t be ready for use until next Spring. So I’m about to take a kiddie pool and use it for a daytime outdoor enclosure for the rest of this warm season. My question is does Tator’s shell appear healthy? Anything look concerning? Being a first time owner, I am unsure, and I don’t want to do any permanent damage to this sweet baby.
