The supreme audit chamber got interested (something tells me not entirely out of their own accord) in the money spending activities of the ministry of sports.
As one lovely FS commentator said - oh it’s getting interesting..

This is to update fellow redditters on the life of the rare creature: Kazakhstan olympic champion.

1. Mikhail Shaidorov has not received any of the promised (and due by law) remunerations from the state: apartment or $250k, to date
2. Regarding his lapsed salary payments the Ministry of Sports of Kazakhstan announced that they are in the process of negotiating a new contract. Mind the wording. Whatever they are negotiating, they’re doing it without any explicit or implicit understanding on the part of the general public who finances their existence.
3. Head of Kazakhstan figure skating federation happens to be deputy head of law enforcement department of the President’s administration. The president in this sentence means the President Tokayev. It is unclear how the man even landed the position, but it fully explains why Mikhail Shaidorov received, as feedback to his attempt to provide suggestions on how to develop figure skating in his country, a phrase “you don’t understand anything about figure skating”. The name of the esteemed President of figure skating federation of Kazakhstan is Бауыржан Ералы - Bauyrzhan Eraly. You are welcome to jot this glorious name down, ladies and gentlemen, the future of Kazakhstan’s figure skating is in his loving hands.
4. There’s a lot of love extended to Milhail Shaidorov from the rich sports community of Kazakhstan. Head coach of free style mogul team of Kazakhstan apparently wants to advertise her warm feelings towards the only winter olympics champion of the country by posting in her social media sentences calling him… oopsie.. a piece of shit.
