I sued my cousin and her boyfriend a year ago because when I moved across the country to help them with their newborn they stole my French bulldog and threw him in a field. I never saw him again so I sued for 5k but what I paid for him was 7k. I did file a criminal lawsuit (which we are still in the process for going through) the prosecutor is asking them to pay the remaining balance of 2k upfront or become felons and go on a payment plan through probation but they haven’t started paying me the 5k they owe me. So my question is how do I get them to start paying me the 5k from the small claims suit I filed? Her boyfriend has moved jobs and I’m not sure where he works now. My cousin is a full time mom with my income coming in at all.
