What is the best way to conserve this 1805 Draped Bust Large Cent?

Looking for opinions on the best way to conserve this 1805 draped bust large cent. I would like to remove the green verdigris from this coin, yet keep the original black patina. I have posted some cleaning photos in the past, but I am not looking to clean this coin, rather conserve it instead and keep its original surfaces while removing what will ruin it. Please give me some honest opinions and options here. I am just an amateur. Cheers!

Cleaned 1856 Large Cent UPDATE

I cleaned this 1856 Large Cent a few days ago and made a post about it. I received a lot of hate that I ruined it, etc. I knew the coin would gain some toning over the coming days, as pure copper tones up fast. Well here it is just a couple days after being cleaned, it has toned very nicely in my opinion. I have pocket carried it and handled it with sweaty hands after working in the yard every day now. Let me know what you guys think so far. I am very pleased with how it has come out and I know it will continue to tone and get color over time. Cheers!
