Well pump pressure switch

SE United States.

My parents have a well pump that stays under a shelter, but I have had to put 3 different pressure switches on in a year and a half. My dad always wants the mechanical with contacts, despite me telling him there are may be other options.

My only day off this week and they called me today to tell me it's broken again. Before I head out and repeat this process AGAIN, is there something that could be causing them to fail so quickly?

It's covered. Out of the weather. The only thing I can think of is wiring...it's got braided wire running from the house to the pumphouse but Romex from the feed line to the pump. I've wondered if the voltage could be dropping and messing them up early.

Any thoughts or advice?

We're a team. Right?

My wife thinks I'm crazy...

I went through great effort to haul every bot from mission control, Exodus, and the one caretaker you find on that one mission (not spoiling) up to the roof of mission control.

I went through even greater effort to build couches and struggle with the rag doll physics to arrange them all so they could see the rocket launch. In spirit. Kinda.

Headless guys went in the front as they didn't "need to see" anyway.

This took at least an hour and a half and I was so pleased. I'm gonna collect more of our fallen and forgotten and fill the seats that are vacant, as well as building more if I can.

Note: I lost 2 on Exodus. The one hanging by a hand (we're gonna call him Wilson as he just floated away after he fell) And Jesus, the one kinda stuck to the wall beneath mission control...I couldn't get him safely across the broken catwalk...

Please tell me I'm not the only one doing things like this. 😅
