I have completed FFX about 8 times but never tried and only recently found out about the 99x Warp Sphere challenge.

After travelling to Omega Ruins and capturing 1x of each monster for the Monster Area, I returned to explore the rest of the area.

I randomly opened all 12x chests and received the 99x Warp Spheres!

I’m playing the HD Remaster on Nintendo Switch.

Is this a known glitch or was I lucky?

How does PhantomPal fusion work?

Most of the time I get far less than what I start with and end up with nothing useful.

I’m also confused by the battle system. Does higher star beat higher rarity? Are there factions?
