I got this game the first days of july and have been playing non-stop. I just unlocked the mill, so I thought I'd build one. It's my first attempt at doing something round-ish and also my first time playing with roof tiles as not roofs. I'm pretty happy with the result, but I'm not quite convinced about the roof.

I rebuilt it from a regular angle square roof, but this doesn't really do it for me either and I'm not sure if it's possible (or if I'm capable of) building a dome like roof or a circular roof. Any ideas?

So I made the tower or mill a bit higher, and in general I'm very happy with the overal design, and I think building it mostly block by block took a lot of work but paid out, as I really like using shingle roof blocks to build the walls and the rims.

I'm still not happy with the roof though. I rebuilt it differently, but I'm not conviced. I used a pixel calculator to do the roundish base of the mill, but I'm not sure I would be able to made a dome-like roof. Anyone has built one? I might have to fight with roofs a bit more until I'm fully satisfied.

Watch me die dozens of times while being brutalized by the Hollow Cyclops. My stupid ass didn't register there were spawners for some reason until I had died like 4 times... Besides sharing my adventure and mediocre fighting skills, the point of uploading the video is to clarify whether bosses can be stunned or not (besides the dragon).

I keep reading how stun arrows and stunning in general and with explosive arrows is a boss killer, but in my experience so far, except for the dragon, the other bosses seem immune to stun, so I don't know if they changed something, or maybe I'm just wrong about it. As you can see here, unlike the dragon, this boss doesn't have a stun bar, nor does he get stunned by my explosive arrows (I have the skill unlocked), which clearly do stun other enemies but never the boss. What's your experience?

So I got the mill, one thing led to another and I would be ashamed to admit how many hours I spent on this yesterday, I even built it in granite and fancy stone and ended up rebuilding it all with new mats. Pretty happy with the results so far, although I would have loved to make a round roof, but I felt like that was too much of a challenge for me.

Sorry if this is already common knowledge, but I just discovered that you can shoot fish with your bow and loot it for fish cutlet (at least in veilwater basin). I'd thought I'd share just in case.

I recently made a post reporting how the animal and bed count is broken, and how the game counts all fish, dogs and cats as farm animals, and compare them to the total number of beds, halting breeding if the first number is higher than the second.

I reported the bug through the game as suggested by one of the mods. In the meantime, I suggested to some people to create some extra farm beds ,and I did so myself: I buried underground 8 farm beds or so to see if that fixed the issue.

It did solve it, but it reveled yet another issue: apparently if the total number of farm beds is higher than the number of farm animals, they will breed even if they don't have those beds available. In the image you can clearly see how my goats, despite only having one extra bed available, had 4 baby goats, and despite not having a bed accesible, they still don't have the shelterless icon...

Many of you probably already knew this, but after 500 hours of gameplay, manually picking up stuff from the blue chest to manually put it the production stations, I just learned from a vid that you can press R1 (or whatever on keyboard) and you get to select the materials from your chests and not inventory...

I wanted to share it just in case anyone missed it like me, because it's a QOL gamechanger!

In my many hours in Valheim, I already came up with an idea to make a floor of chests, which a lot of people liked a lot. In this game, the blue chests imo dont' really look very well with the rest of the furniture and warm lights so I came up with this idea.

I buried my chests under the floor and I placed one tapestry frame upside down over them, which more or less matches conifer wood. The signs are optional and I'm thinking of removing them for a cleaner look, as I already know which chest is which.

My ranger had a big upgrade and optimization, and I'm not scared of the summits anymore :)

I don't know if this has been reported before, but it took me a while to figure it out. My animals were not breeding any more despite fulfilling all the requirements. that is, until googling it, I came to this page and realized that the game is counting my 3 dogs and 3 cats as farm animals, but it's not counting their respective beds, it only counts farm beds. This absolutely locks the breeding process.

If any of you is having issues, put your cats and dogs in a chest, check the numbers and see if those icons on the left side turn white like in the photo (beds where previously red, despite having an excess for each type of animal). It would be great if they fixed it, but if they don't, at least I hope this helps other people struggling with this.

I often read that the daggers suck because they have "no AOE capabilities" and I always wonder if these people know that the crash down attack ALSO works with daggers. I could understand if they don't because the whole naming system and categories are extremely confusing (what's considered melee or whats considered a magic weapon, for example). I found out by accident as I didn't expect them to work, and I think this counts as AOE capability, doesn't it?

Anyways, recently I've found that the combo bee sting + crash down attack is really good. Bear in mind I'm a noob playing my first playthrough on hard and I suck, so I was lucky I was a bit overleveled for these guys or things might have not gone well.

So I finally finished my barn, took me more time than I'd like to admit, and many rebuilding and correcting errors with the roofs, as well as trying different materials. I'm new to the game, started this past july but have been playing non-stop, although I haven't been focusing on bulding.

This was my first starter base and since I will probably remodel soon (I already started with some parts upstairs using other materials) or, more probably, start a serious build somewhere else, I'd thought I'd take the chance to show my modest base, as well as my newly finished barn.

So I got all excited as I had unexpected and sudden access to endgame resources (still in kindlewastes) and was experimenting with new plants. I planted a bunch of coconuts and bananas together and apparently when I cut down the coconut trees the palmtress, coconuts and palms got stucked on top of the remaining banana trees leading to a fun minigame :)

At first I thought of burying any of the regular doors but they all come with the built in frame, so that wouldn't work... until I thought of trying something with the wooden hidden door... and it worked!!

I'm quite new to the game and I've been spending some hours roofing, and finallly I think I got the hang out of it, it looks great but it's very decieving at first and you need to understand the gaps the game fills visually that are "not there".

Anyways, pretty happy so far with this barn where I was experimenting. The doubt I have is what to do with the ends of the long side. I figured that I either would have to put the column parallel to the front one, or do an overhang, which then I guess would have to be quite big.

Which one do you think would look better? I did this improvising and without much planing and I'm not sure what to do with those two ends. I might change the column material as it doesn't convince me.

Are you invested working on your build and suddenly night comes making it impossible to continue working? pop a couple luminescent walls right in front! You will have working light! I tested the yellow ones but for work these are more efficient.

I uploaded a picture before that apparently confused some people, as it wasn't maybe very clear what I was showing. Besides the rainy night weather with the lights, which I though looked cool, I was showing how I made these functional plant seed borders with the yellow luminescent block, which not only look great IMO but they come in very handy as I usually want to farm at night.
