WAMC

Hi everyone! I kind of wanted to know the chances of getting an interview with my stats and what people would do in my situation. I currently have around a 2.9-3.0 SGPA (I retook orgo 1 and a bunch of science classes in the summer at my local community college to boost it) and a 3.2 CGPA. I just got my DAT scores back and i’m kind of bummed out. I got a 410 bio, gen chem and rc, 420 PAT, 400 orgo and a 320 qr😭😭 so my AA is a 390. I really don’t want to retake it but i’m feel like im left with no choice. My top school is nova since it’s close to home but i feel like my stats are extremely low for it. Apart from the negatives my EC are great. I have 200+ volunteers hrs, 400+ sharping, done a research poster symposium, research with microbio, dental internship, posted a dental case study and i’m currently working as a dental assistant. If anyone has some advice for my situation such as masters etc I’d love some feedback!

Retake?

Honestly don’t feel bad about anything but QR. I genuinely don’t wanna study for this again and feel like I hit a wall and will never be good at QR like i really suck at math. Please any advice would be great! I also have low stats like gpa and sgpa.

orgo booster

hi everyone, I’ve been using booster and Boot Camp and I have noticed that I keep scoring low on orgo in booster (around 390 to 380) and in bootcamp I was consistently scoring around 450. I just wanted to know if I should be focusing on studying on booster rather then Bootcamp, and if the actual orgo on the DAT was representative of either booster/bootcamp.

Booster for the final weeks?

hello everyone, before anyone says anything i know im an idiot lol. I’m currently studying for the DAT and I have around two weeks left. I’m honestly considering buying booster for the 30 days because I used up all of my exams for Bootcamp by accident because I thought the full lengths were different from the individual exams. so I really don’t know my scores since I was taking those exams about two months ago. Basically I Don’t know my current estimated AA or anything. I took the last 5 for each recently but i just used them all up. Would it be recommended for me to get booster to actually see how I’m currently doing? Or should I just keep going with Bootcamp?

Anatomy before submission?

hello everybody, I’m currently in a dilemma because I have a low SGPA (~2.9 for reference) and I’m supposed to apply in late July after the DAT. I am considering taking an anatomy 2 course for the second half of summer to boost my sGPA from a 2.9 to a flat 3.0. I have just taken anatomy 1 and microbiology and passed so I’m really considering taking anatomy 2… would it be worth my time or should I just apply with the 2.9 and save my money?

Achievement Section

Hey guys, I currently have no achievements— I have a low gpa but a lot of extracurriculars but due to my low GPA, I have no achievement like honors or anything. The only thing I may have is that I have a paper published but I’d assume that goes under EC. I was wondering if it’s bad to put no achievement?

School List Low Stat

Hey everyone, as the title says I’m low stat. I currently have a cgpa of 3.1 or 3.2? and sgpa below 3.0 but currently taking some summer courses to push it to a 3.0. I acknowledge that it’s a long shot but honestly have nothing to lose and might as well apply. My dat is pending as i have yet to take it as well. I might be applying mid july, no later than july. I wanted a list of schools that don’t have a cutoff— I know most do tho or any school that I might have a shot at, i’m also a FL resident. I have good EC as i’m currently a dental assistant, have spent 400+ hours shadowing (multiple dentists+internship), research (symposium and currently independent study), a paper published and 200+ volunteer hours (i haven’t counted maybe around 300?) and I also tutored english as a second language to spanish kids— i don’t know if to include that in my application, i feel like it’s overkill and something I did privately. I also had a leadership role in my uni’s predental club. I have no accomplishment tho so 0 clue to what to put there. I’ll greatly appreciate the feedback!

is this possible?

hello everyone. I’m currently studying for the DAT and have it in about a month. I wanted to know if there’s anyway I can break from 400 on my practice test. I started getting around 340, when I was only content reviewing and then now I’m getting around 400 on individual test. Not the full length one and wanted to know if I’m still on the right track in order to get around 450 for my DAT?
