"This suit we scavenged may not be for any species we've ever heard of, but we managed to make use of every part of it. It takes an insane amount of power just to run it; that said, it seems to shrug off most projectiles. And between the modular cannon & strength boosters, its offensive capabilities pack a serious punch. We keep finding new systems and features, and the nav system has a hard point programmed in near the edge of Wild Space. Might be worth hiring a cargo hauler crew to go and find out if there's more of this tech out there..."
This year, I started sharing photos of my own figures and dioramas online with the wider internet outside of some figure and dio groups that are a pretty safe audience. This sub and the Dresden FB page were the first places I shared my stuff that wasn't exclusively for toy photos, and the encouragement and kindness I received from you all really helped me take the next big step of putting my portfolio online.
My stuff got noticed by a couple of toy podcasts, which led to a call from an artist whose dios I've admired for years. And now I have my first toy convention next week as an exhibitor/vendor, and I am scared sh*tless in the best way possible lol (KravarKon in Newark, OH).
Anyway, THANK YOU. And when I get back from this con and my heart rhythm regulates again, I'll start on my next passion project to share with you guys first. Sneak peek pic attached; stoked to put some time into our favorite hang spot.
Pro Tip: Lost In Space (1998) is a much more enjoyable watch if you decide that Major Don West is being played by Joey Tribbiani instead of Matt LeBlanc lol
From the engines back to the cargo ramp, this is the Imperial lander from the Welcome Back Boba episode of The Mandalorian. I just printed another midsection with a bomber-style canopy and placed it where the back-end engine just stopped on the original ship. I'm leaving the cockpit unconnected to get better pics inside later.
Currently working on armaments and other fun add-ons. Those big ports on the side give me lots of fun options for weapons, tools, thrusters, etc. And then lighting the interior will be a cool challenge as well.
Thanks for looking. All the files I'm using for this project are freebies on Cults and/or Bambu Makerworld, and just for fun, this won't be for sale.
