Who would you recommend for the most wind resistant garage door to replace current broken garage door from wind damage?

Hey all. My current garage door that I have on my garage was damaged due to the high winds this windy season. My house faces west so basically right at the wind and I live out east. I need some recommendations on the best possible garage door that is wind resistant and what companies to use in town that reasonably priced. I’ll attached some pictures of the damage but essentially those long trusses (I think that’s what they are) on the back of the panel became unglued and just cut into the door. Any recommendations on door style, companies that priced decently, great service, warranty and so forth is greatly appreciated. My main concern is to never have to deal with the wind damaging the door again. Thanks.

P.S. The old company I used for my current door was American Overhead Door

Edit: I guess I can’t attach all the photos so here’s a link to what it looks like damaged.https://imgur.com/a/L5wZsuT

Does it get easier?

Hey all. So quick question. I’m on Naltraxone 50mg. I’m about 7 days in with dosage. I was wondering if it gets easier overtime to control the drinking and not binge? A couple of nights ago I drank very heavy and basically felt like I “beat” the Naltraxone. I woke up feeling like crap. I kept getting drunker & drunker to the point I was feeling sick almost. I’m wondering if the medication works better & better overtime and if these events of beating happen here & there. Also I have finally gotten past the nausea and dizziness of it which is awesome because at first I would get really hot and feel very nauseous. Also around what mark do the evening cravings go away for alcohol? I want to be done drinking so bad! Thanks for your advice!

Hello all. I am in need of some advice because I feel like I am going crazy with trying to get diagnosed properly for ADHD (adult inattentive type) as my most recent evaluation went not great. Let me first start off with some background information. I am a 32 yeard old male from an eastern European country, I moved here at 7 years old. I did not graduate highschool but eventually got my GED and went to college to study Communications (originally a finance major but could not focus on the math to pass it because my mind kept drifting and I believe I have a numerical mental disability). I graduated college with a 2.85 GPA overall and I’ll get into why a little later.

As for the ADHD, here are my core symptoms. I have extreme trouble with inattention, I simply cannot focus on a boring task for more than a few minutes and my mind begins to drift off randomly. I also cannot start a task, it’s as if there is this internal resistance that stops me from starting the task. I have serious sleep issues as with ADHD the melatonin and cortisol onset and delay are out of sync so I fall asleep so much later in the night and wake up so much later in the day. Here’s more things also: This has been going on since childhood.

I’ve always had extreme trouble focusing, especially on anything that doesn’t interest me. I’ll read the same paragraph 5 times and still not know what I just read. My brain constantly drifts—random thoughts, memories, future scenarios—anything but the task in front of me.

At the same time, if something does interest me, I can hyperfocus for hours or even days.

The biggest issue isn’t just attention—it’s activation.
know what I need to do… but I just can’t start.

  • Job applications → I open them, then end up scrolling or doing something else
  • Important life tasks → avoided until last-minute panic (if they get done at all)
  • I’ve been unemployed since May 2025 and have barely applied to jobs

It feels like there’s a disconnect between “I should do this” and actually doing it.

Other patterns:

  • Chronic procrastination
  • Severe time blindness (late to everything, miss appointments)
  • Constant distraction (phone, thoughts, random impulses)
  • Starting things and never finishing them
  • Losing things daily (keys, wallet, etc.)
  • Zoning out in conversations
  • Impulsivity (spending, sex, substances, decisions)
  • Emotional overreactions, especially to rejection

This has had real consequences:

  • Didn’t graduate high school
  • Barely finished college (2.85 GPA)
  • Can’t hold stable jobs
  • $70k in credit card debt
  • Living with my parents at 32
  • Struggling with alcohol and past marijuana use (used it to quiet my mind)
  • Relationships have suffered badly

I’ve also dealt with:

  • Constant mental chatter
  • Low self-esteem from years of underperforming
  • Anxiety, depression, and rumination
  • Feeling like I’m “wasting potential”

What’s frustrating is I’m often told I’m smart, but my life doesn’t reflect that at all.

It honestly feels like my brain just doesn’t regulate motivation or follow-through properly. Like I’m stuck in “now vs not now,” and anything without immediate reward just doesn’t happen.

I took the ASRS and scored 18/18, and my doctor agrees this looks like ADHD.

I have a document with over 36 pages of symptoms that I submitted in my last evaluation two weeks ago. The clinic I went to said this evaluator was an expert in testing for ADHD.  I had a phone call with her last week. First, she proceeds to tell me that I have inattention issues and that the test results came back “inconclusive” but she does believe I could have ADHD. So I was like great write that down for me. She proceeds to tell me though that she won’t. She says that what she is formally diagnosing me with is Borderline Personality Disorder with Antisocial, Narcissistic and Histrionic tendencies. A General Anxiety Disorder and Cannabis Use Disorder (in remission) and Alcohol Use Disorder-mild. So I was like well I agree with the BPD and Anxiety however those are comorbidities due to lifelong chronic procrastination, inattention issues, not being to hold focus. She then says that it’s lifestyle actually because I watch porn. I was like um what? I was like first off, BPD is characterized by unstable interpersonal relationships, fear of abandonment, s*ici*dal ideation or attempt, typically symptoms show up in the last 2-5 years and NONE of those things are what I am going through. Yes, 30%-40% of ADHD people can experience BPD but the primary cause is ADHD. She then tells me the tests she administered and gives me the following: Dot Counting Test (DCT), Test of Memory Malingering (TOMM), Structured Inventory of Malingered Symptomatology (SIMS), Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale 5^(th) edition (WAIS-5), Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI-IV), Adaptive Behavior Assessment System (ABAS-3). Now she says that I scored inconclusive on these tests besides the Adaptive Behavior where I scored extremely low on a bunch of categories. I looked all these tests up. Not one single test except maybe the Adaptive Behavior Test is used for testing for ADHD. In fact, I brought her the Adult Self Reporting Rating Scale from the W.H.O website where I checked off 18/18 on the symptoms but that is a screener not a diagnostic tool. Furthermore, I brought her my college transcript to show her that in classes that peaked my interest I was able to hyperfocus and get A’s yet simple stupid classes like The American Political System that had nothing to do with my major (I’m a film major emphasis in COMM) I failed twice back to back with F’s. I also brought her my work history to prove inconsistency where I literally walked of off jobs because of impulsivity. I asked her if she wants to talk to family as to get collateral verification, she said that won’t be necessary. I literally felt unheard, unseen and mocked. She said I was arrogant and trying to tell her how to do her job. I was like why would I want to have a mental health disorder? Do you think I want this? She said that due to my use of porn, I can’t focus. I was like I NEVER touched porn as a kid, highschool or college so how come I couldn’t focus back then? Please tell me. She couldn’t. I also read Driven to Distraction by Dr. Hallowell and Taking Charge of Adult ADHD by Dr. Barkley so I am very familiar with this syndrome. I have taken their in-book assessment and I have zero reason to lie, I checked off 100% of the symptoms.

So that leaves me now with seeking a second opinion. I saw my primary doctor today and he said he doesn’t agree with the diagnosis either but doesn’t know enough about ADHD to prescribe anything and needs me to seek a second eval. For a reference, I am on Medicaid insurance and live in Colorado Springs, CO which is a very heavily DoD military town.

So that leaves me here, struggling and suffering and not being able to accomplish anything in my life and so far behind feeling shame, guilt, and pissed off that I’m not being taken serious. I am just trying to get my life on track and advocate for myself.

That being said. I am seeking any advice you all have because I’m just spinning my wheels. What has your experience been like? What advice do you have? What can I do? What do you think of the above scenario?
