Hysterectomy
Hi just wanted to say I’m booked in for my lanscopic hysterectomy on Monday the 19th May, so in like 4 days. I’m so excited but nervous too, has anyone got any info for what to take with me? I’ve got basic wash stuff some more clean clothes in case and some men’s tena underwear. My surgery is booked in for the afternoon but I’ve to be there for 11am, what happens on the morning? apparently I’m more at risk of deep vein thrombosis for some reason 🤷♂️ so they are wanting me to stay overnight, when I had my top surgery I was in recovery a little longer as my breathing was too fast, so I’m panicking about that too, I’m such a nervous person (I wished I wasn’t), what happens when you wake up? Are you able to just get up go to the toilet yourself or do you have a catheter in? I’m excited but yet so nervous, this is something I’ve waited since ages ago so I definitely want it doing, I feel like I’m half way with my surgery’s when I’ve got through this one. How were Poole when they went home? Were you in bed a few days or were you up and walking about?
