1 Year Post-Op With Simon Tsao
As of today I am officially one year post op with Dr Simon Tsao !!
I do not have full feeling back across my chest, and it is unlikely that after the first year the nerve endings will heal to regain that sensation. (I was warned of this as a side effect and am still very happy with my surgery.)
In the last year I have only used simple moisturising lotions, I never used scar tape. I would moisturise daily with a 3+ minute scar massage (per scar) as a form of scar care. Back in February I did start using Strataderm, I’m not sure whether or not it has made a difference to the appearance of my scars.
Overall I am really happy with my results, everything I am not fully satisfied with is only to do with known side effects or ailments (such as scar noticeability, loss of sensation, etc). The past year I have been nothing but grateful for my top surgery.
