I should have taken a picture - Pisco Hot & Sour
2 oz Pisco
0.5 oz Lemoncello
0.5 oz lime cordial (Morganthaler's)
0.5 oz citrus infused 1:1 simple syrup
1/8 oz homemade pepper bitters
Shaken and dirty poured into a rocks glass. Good balance of tart and sweet with a lingering finish from the pepper bitters. Gin might have been a better choice but I'm not going to make another tonight to test that theory.
Pepper bitters
5 long pepper corns (a more floral relative of black pepper)
1 dried chili pepper (I did not record the type)
Steeped for 4-5 days in 4 oz of vodka. Both types of pepper were removed and a small amount of oolong tea leaves were steeped in the liquid for another 2 days.
