I finally finished a set of custom replacement bubble pod turrets for the Republic Gunship/LAAT, and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.

These were made to replace the side bubble pods and give the gunship a more finished, detailed look. Each pod is a 7-color, multi-material 3D print with clear acrylic windows, a custom control panel sticker, and articulated support arms. The arms use PETG for added durability, and the flexible joints are reinforced with stainless-steel rods.

Happy Star Wars Day, folks! I'm continuing my quest to make replacement parts for the Star Wars Republic Gunships and finally got around to the grapple hooks. I also made a custom quick-connect and rope storage system to keep the back of the gunship tidy. It always felt like an oversight from Hasbro that there was no clean way to wrap the rope.
