Sharjah Rental law… HELP!!
I just moved into an Appartment there were still few snags left but i gave them more than 10 days to do maintenance
Besides the small snags like drawers or doors not closing
The central AC the appartment has 2 units
Works okay but thermostat is so old and all fan speeds are the same no low/medium/high all buttons give the same speed
This one does not cool properly enough needs to be on 18 to do an okay job and the AC Thermostat even tho he replaced it it’s such an old model this round dial knob thingy when i put the button to On the ac turns off and vice versa, it is also connected to maid room where it barely delivers adequate ventilation
Anyhow i went ahead and got a company replaced the 2 thermostat and got proper wiring done which cost me 800 AED
2 days later the Ac unit is leaking and the roof is dropping water in 2 different bathrooms
I talk to the agent he tells me talk to the owner
I talk to the owner he tells me talk to the Agent
In the special conditions he said he would do a full maintenance and it also says minor and major maintenance will be incurred by me(which to be honest i was dumb to not notice it) but does this special conditions trumps the law ?
Please advise
