The Hardik trade, a cautionary tale

This entire recent fiasco with Pandya proves what a bad trade can do to a franchise, a player and the overall impact it has, as most of us might know by now, Hardik wants to return to GT, almost no one would say no it (from a tactical perspective, not emotional), even Gill gave the green light but the moment Hardik asked for captaincy, the talks over his return collapsed, imagine if he hadn't left, he most probably would've been the t20i captain, and could've won another trophy with us (2026 maybe?) anyways, this also shows us what the GT environment is like where players like Hardik who left to go into a team full of prima donnas, realized that no other team has a chill and relaxed environment like ours, we might criticize Nehra but the way he's built the dressing room is commendable. Anyways, excited for the new season (even though it's pretty far off lmao) let's back our boys to finish the job in 2027, AAVA DE!!

Indian T20I Team needs GT players

All of us saw the atrocious 125 run loss of the ict to England, this ipl sloggers 11 can't play well in SENA conditions, imo, we have enough talent in india to field multiple teams, why not have a seperate batting/slogging heavy team for flat subcontinent pitches and a stable one for difficult ones, while playing is sena countries India needs players like gill, sai su (jaiswal too icl). If t20i teams are picked on consistent performance then I don't think anyone can deny that the most consistent performers this cycle have been our own openers. What are your thoughts about this?

PS- people lurking here, no need to downvote just because I vouched for gill and sai su, y'all can just move on

Appreciation for GT Management

I know that we criticized this management for buying so many bowlers but look at the tournament now, we have so many options and variety in bowling that we can bowl on any pitch, these many international bowling stars together help the team become a lethal bowling unit, plus our batters get the advantage to face them in nets. Retaining ishant sharma was also a good move because he basically serves as a bowling mentor for these guys, his experience helps them improve. We also criticized them for backing srk and making the middle order weak, but I think they were giving some players a long rope (maybe longer than needed) but once they were sure that some players can't perform in any situation they backed youngsters, nishant looks so comfortable while batting, hits clean shots, our management knows who to back very well, overall even though we might think stuff isn't right, our team plays a different, classy brand of cricket
