Rear brake line section off proportioning valve

So I'm finally getting around to replacing the hard line running to the rear axle as well as the hose to the axle. at the front off the proportioning valve, theres maybe a foot of line coming off of the valve thats connected to the main run with a union and bubble flares. Is there anything stopping me from converting it to one line? I cut the main run a little too long so the end of the tube will reach the proportioning valve, I'll just have to re flare the end. I can't think of any reason why the line is split into 2 like it was, but I also don't want to fuck it up by removing that union.

Heater control valve positioning

Hey guys, I have a 1992 cb7 that the cable for the heater valve is broken on. It's stuck on full heat, which was fine in the winter but now with it warming up not being able to use the blower motor without getting even hotter sucks. Until I get around to replacing it, which way should I manually move the valve to close it off? I believe it needs to be pushed towards the firewall, but I just want to make sure.

Non caffeine pouch alternatives

Trying to quit using pouches and a big part of it for me is the oral ritual. I like the smokey mountain caffeine pouches for the size and feel, but I already drink a pretty solid amount of caffeine and I'm not trying to make that number too high. Does anyone have a good zero caffeine, zero nicotine pouch that they use? I've used Teaza in the past and they weren't bad, but even the mint flavors felt kinda sweet to me. I have some black buffalo pouches ordered and I'm going to see if they work for me, is there anything else I should keep an eye out for?

Does anyone know how much brake line I would need to get in order to replace my cracked center hard line? I'm doing the rear hose at the same time, and I'm going to borrow a flaring tool to do it myself. Can't really find any good info on how much tubing I would need to cut off the reel to do it, though. Don't really feel like buying a pre bent one if I don't absolutely have to
