So, Here’s my idea.

Castle town is in turmoil, with political crisis, internal conflicts, and dissatisfaction with Court oligarchy, some fear that upcoming events would make the Russian Civil War look like a minor disagreement. (No real world politics) Especially Ralsei, Who’s authority is undermined every day as he lacks the ability to stand up for himself, and is very naïve.

He believes, maybe or maybe not naïvely, that a proper king with a strong spine, confidence, legitimacy to the throne, and diplomatic skill, can rope together the rapidly degrading stability. Unfortunately? He’s never met his parents. Gerson boom has raised him. But the old man has a secret! He does have a father!

Turns out? His dad got his mom pregnant around the millennium dawn. They were only 19. So, his mother, December Holiday, was terrified Ran off to the dark world, but even there she disappeared, not willingly, of course.

Meanwhile, his father, Asriel Dremurr, who had planned to become a musician with Dess, was so overcome with grief at the loss of his lifelong friend and Lover, completely lost all ambition in life. So, utilizing his size, he moved to New York, became a nightclub bouncer, spending his time off the job depressed and binge drinking. But despite this? He has the capability to care for and raise a son. And? Thankfully for Ralsei? He’s a master diplomat, as seen as how he is the only reasonable bouncer this side of the Mississippi, who has talked more people down than he has, though them out.

Ralsei decides to recruit the Help of Kris and Susie to make the Trek from small town, Massachusetts to Big town, New York, New York. And after that? If they are able to navigate that hurdle, if Ralsei can handle his excitement for exploring the light world, Asriel’s chaotic and partially successful parenting, and Reel in his father to follow him back to the light world and be a leader no longer held back by bottles, then there is a chance they can save the kingdom before it explodes into complete anarchy. Because if it does? Who knows what could rise from the ashes?

Another thing that would be an interesting question, is how deep has async even gotten into the back rooms? I mean, judging by the fact that they have a caveman fairly close to Clark’s null zone entrance, and other things indicating that Clark’s territory of the back rooms and async’s territory of the back rooms are fairly close, is there a chance that we could figure out where what we’ve seen in the web series and what we’ve seen in the movie are in relation to each other?
