Camera advice- Moto G 5 stylus 2025

I recently switched from a Pixel 6a to a Moto G Stylus 2025. I really wanted the expandable storage that's very rare in phones today. There's a lot to like about the Moto G, but I am shocked at how low quality the camera is. Everything has a yellow tint and is deeply saturated. I really only use my camera to take pictures of my family and my baby looks like he's wearing bright red lipstick in every image. Photos are also low res. Obviously, I know the pixel has a great camera, but I didn't expect the moto's camera to be quite so bad.

I see old recommendations on the subreddit for the GCam app, but it's incredibly expensive ($15/week). The free version is so riddled with ads that it's impossible to use. Any recommendations for changes to settings, reasonably priced third party apps that work well? Or should I throw in the towel and return it?

ETA: Thank you, everyone who responded! I've made adjustments to the settings based on your recommendations and have been exploring pro mode. It's improved the pictures a ton and I feel a lot happier about the phone.
