I’ve been working on this toy box for 7 months and will be finishing the 120th (and final) picture tomorrow. The problem is that I can’t figure out how to seal it so that the pen won’t smear when coming in contact with wet fingers. (Why are toddler fingers always wet?) I made a test board and sprayed 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 coats of the Crystal Clear Krylon spray paint on each section before finishing with brushed on polyurethane. As you can see, even the section with 6 coats of the spray smeared with the poly. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? I will be sick if I try to finish the toy box and it smears. TIA
