Deshi office culture
So this post is on behalf of my female colleague. We both are doing internship in different departments of the same company. Now ome of her colleague, with whom she has to work colsely with, has started asking her different type of personal questions for example, if she has boyfriend or not, constantly messaging her on the weekends and many more things. Which has made her uncomfortable. But she can't complain as she is an intern and he is in permanent post. Also she has to give them explanation every time she leaves her desk and those questions sometimes cross the professional boundaries. Also the other colleagues from her floor always tries to give "gyan" on personal topics without even asking. They want to know every part of her thing, like with whom she talks, with whom she is going out. She got depressed because of this culture. Is this normal in Bangladeshi corporates? What could she do?
