I really hate HR conferences in the present year. It’s a hundred vendors saying the same thing: you can fix your problems by plugging it into AI.

Even the so called “seminars” are thinly veiled commercials. The question goes “how do I fix y?” then a CEO on the panel says “oh? I just plug it into AI!”.

AI, AI, AI. I’m not even as bitter about it as most redditors as it has been pretty helpful in saving time in my job, but good lord it seems to mainly exist as a way to funnel money away from your company’s budget.

It’s so much like actually moderating this sub. We see so many AI vendors we have to ban lol.

Oh and a slice of pizza was no lie 20 dollars at the conference I attended this week.
