Looking for something not overly touristic, more quiet/chill. Greece would be ideal but open to similar destinations in Europe.

Can anyone weigh in on Viator vs GetYourGuide?

Cancellations, refunds, customer service, quality of providers (but I'm aware that the same company might be listed on both sites, which is where customer service comes in)

I have never booked travel insurance before, but I have seen a couple of people get into accidents while traveling and I want to make sure I have health insurance if something happens.

If so how was your experience? Did you do a tour or solo? Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

Does anyone have experience traveling with a tour group they would recommend?

I want something to carry my phone, credit card, and potentially a passport. I will be staying in hostels and want to keep my stuff safe on me while sightseeing.

I am talking like a 2 to 3 day trip on a non stop flight just to feed my soul and see other places.

Suggestions on how to do this in a economic type of way?

I’m considering going to Norway, Sweden or Finland. Finland seems too touristy. Let me know which country you liked best.

Which time would be best to visit : end of December or February? I would love to see the Christmas markets, but I know there’s the polar night and December also seems more cloudy (which isn’t great to see the northern lights).

On the other hand, if I go on February, there’s more daylight, but I wouldn’t see the Christmas markets.

I have heard a lot about it being unsafe and having lots of scammers so now I am hesitating to go. Can you please tell me your experience if you have been there?

If it is not safe, what other nearby countries do you suggest that are not too expensive?

One of the ways that I safeguard my happiness is by not sharing my travel plans with anyone, as in my experience often people interject their wishes, fears, discouraging comments and questions, that can potentially lower my vibration. So I wait until just before the trip, or while I’m on the trip, or after the trip, to share that I’m traveling. I’ve found that this protects my happiness greatly.

Share your advice, tips, etc.

If so, what was your experience? I love history and would love to eventually make it to the historic sites from when it was ancient Babylon.
