Has anyone solo traveled to South Africa?
I would really love to visit but many people have told me it is incredibly unsafe unless you have family over there. I would appreciate any advice or personal experiences from those who have visited.

What things must be taken into account before choosing this travel option? how should you plan the trip? Is it convenient to travel with a backpack or with a small suitcase?
And finally, I would like to ask you if you would recommend the Interrail?
Mine is currently in a drawer in my kitchen. I feel like there’s gotta be a better and safer place.
I am a big lover of paper books, there is just something about holding a paper copy and flicking through the pages, but carrying 5 books with me obviously is not ideal.
Do you use a Kindle or do you have any better suggestions?
The must have?
I love travelling solo and staying at hostels but I always feel very awkward trying to start conversations with strangers. I would love to meet and talk with new people. I always eat my breakfast in the hostel and the whole time I just wish I could talk to someone instead of eating alone.
I love solo travel. I do travel with my partner sometimes and that does reduce some stress, but at the end of the day I think there is nothing more freeing than traveling alone.
If I wanted to go in a group with people, how would I go about it? There are so many options, I want to know if anyone has done those and which ones you would recommend.
If so, why and any suggestions?
I consider myself a sensitive person and one way I experience sensitivity is that unpleasant interactions with others take up space in my mind longer than they do for some other people.
I’ve recently had a negative experience with a staff member at an airport, and it’s been nagging at me so I wanted to post here.
Pajamas in the airport for me. Looks so crazy. First I saw a lot of kids now I see a lot of adults. Imagine you dragging everything from the airport and airplane to your bed.
I have been looking into getting a travel credit card and would love to hear some of your experiences. I am looking for a beginner card preferably with a $0 or low annual fee. I do not have much experience with credit cards or travel hacking so I am looking for any advice.
It seems to be a great concept, pet and home care in exchange for accommodation. Just curious about anyone else’s experiences.
Please help!
I keep getting mixed messages about what is appropriate.
Are crop tops okay as long as they are on the longer side, or is that a straight up no?
Do you have to cover your shoulders? These are my two main questions.
Would love to hear what everyone wears in more modest countries.
I think this would save some disappointment
For instance,
Bergen, Norway
Skip the fish market restaurants, and get your fish cakes at Søsterne Hagelin.
And so on!
I understand that it´s very hot and that you should cover your shoulders and knees, and I don’t want to dress in a provocative way.
