I'm someone who's very free spirited and really enjoys solo traveling and has been to many countries. I recently got married and we're thinking about having kids. I decided that I do want a family, but now that it comes close to time I'm really scared. I'm really afraid of losing my freedom and my solo trips. I'm starting to feel uncertain about my decision to have kids.
I’d like to just bring a carry-on and backpack, but then when I get to my destination what do I do for day-to-day walking around for phone, cards, lipgloss, etc ? Pack a small purse? Fanny pack? Love to hear what you think works well.
I would love to find something that is either part of the travel industry or provides a schedule that lends itself to traveling.
It could be anything, before you go, while you’re travelling, or once you arrive.
I hate having to go use the restroom when I am traveling with my luggage and don’t know where to put it, since I don’t have anyone to watch it. Just a little thing but it really annoys me.
Is there a place you have been to that is affordable (less than about USD $3500 per month in expenses), mostly warm year round and very close to the beach/sea that allows you to work remotely and if so where? May be I am unrealistic but hoping you have some ideas for me. Thank you.
I fell for another solo traveler that I met in one country and then somehow ended up in the next country together.
Would you recommend it? I've only done a few solo trips and I'm slightly worried about safety.
Sometimes I think I should want someone with me, but there’s something about going somewhere by myself that makes me feel incredibly free. I can follow my own curiosity, change plans, explore, and just exist without worrying about anyone else’s experience.
The internet is full of male ones whose experiences are largely irrelevant to women.

Venice for me. Like no other city and like a maze for adults.
I start first. Chose what you want to pack then eliminate 30% of it and make sure you have photo copies and photos of all important documents.
I amconsidering Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania as well as South Africa. Looking at doing several safaris but would be great to hear from those who have 'been there, done that'. Thanks in advance
Somewhere fairly reasonable, not too large, with a good cultural scene, but most importantly somewhere that feels safe with friendly people and good public transport.

Amsterdam for me. I had a 14hr layover so I skipped the airport to explore the city. I was literally shocked at the overwhelming amount of trash, litter, and debris everywhere. You would have thought it was trash day but it was a Saturday. NYC was cleaner than Amsterdam. That’s how disgusting the streets were.
I’m not a massive eater so restaurants and bars are a bit anxiety inducing and it gets boring being on your own.
Any suggestions of things to do in the evening on your own in any city?
Dont go to mixed rooms in hostels, they are dangerous. In reality i had so much more fun compared to when i was in rooms with only women.
And have any of you had your hip pack or cross body stolen? Ive been to some very populated cities but never had an issue, but I’m going to Europe for a month in a few weeks so I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it to purchase a second phone.
