Filming matches on iPhone

Pickleball videographers, I have a question.

How do you deal with iPhone overheating during a shoot?

I film game days from a tripod - 12–15 matches back to back, then add the score overlay to each video. People want to see not just the rallies, but what was actually happening on the scoreboard.

And every time I end up hitting the same combo:

- Video recording heats up the processor
- I plug in a power bank... constant charging heats up the battery
- Summer sun beats down on the phone from the outside

Three heat sources at once. At some point the iPhone just stops recording. And it's never at the end of the day - always somewhere in the middle. The most frustrating moment.

I've tried moving it to the shade between matches - helps a little, but doesn't really fix it.

Does anyone use active cooling?
A small fan mounted on the tripod, an umbrella, an ice pack between matches?
Or is that already too extra?
