I just came back from a trip in the Catskills where I was able to let my dog wander off leash and it was so fun (she’s very well behaved and listens well!). I’m wondering if there are any hikes/areas that are generally safe for dogs to be unleashed (not crowded, not near busy roads, no explicit rules saying you must leash your dog). The only places I’m aware of in Monmouth County are dog parks and dog beaches - which we do love - but looking for new recs in the area I might not have thought of. Thanks in advance !
