I believe tomorrow will be the point where we reach the one week mark for the patch and archon quest being out. With that being the case, I wanted to start a small discussion…

How has everyone been enjoying the story so far, as well as our goat Sandrone? She seemed to be one of the most active Harbingers throughout 7.0 and it was really nice to see. I’ve loved seeing the different conflicts within the Fatui, seeing which side each of the Harbingers are on, as well as their thoughts/feelings on their colleagues. Not to mention finally meeting the director was such a treat.

I feel like a common complaint with Sandrone (at least from what I’ve seen) is that people always said she never felt like a Fatui Harbinger in the story. But I do feel like 7.0 definitely helped with that as the entire story of course portrays her in Fatui affairs. We get nice Capitano news from her, and she’s the one who explains to us the roles of Pantalone, Pulcinella, and even Childe throughout Snezhnaya. That was one of my favorite moments, and I’m excited to see how her relevance in the story continues to progress. If I remember correctly, it was also revealed how the stellar linchpins are going to be used as a power source next (do correct me if I’m wrong on this regard), so I’m really curious to see how her being the only one to have one will play out.

Anyhow, what are y’all’s thoughts so far? Is there anything you wish that different or want to see more of? This is more so a very small nitpick of mine, but I wish Fagio kind of hung around Sandrone in the background the way Pulonia did. I really like her design and wish to see Sandrone just next to her more and maybe even using that little chair she does in her gameplay 😭

I think a good amount of people have done the 6.7 story event now, so I’d like to start a small discussion…

What do you all think Sandrone’s plot relevance will be in the future 7.x story? Whether it’s small or relevant, I’m curious to see what others think as I for one have no idea, lmao. We have Childe, Arlecchino, Pulcinella, Pantalone, and Pierro appearing in the story as well, but Sandrone feels to be the most “complete” out of all of them story wise, if that makes sense.

I feel like Sandrone’s Narzissenkreuz ties have all been wrapped up, as well as everything else around her character. Nothing really feels like a loose end regarding her.

So going into the 7.x story (and seeing as how she’s seemingly is the Harbinger with the most screen time in 7.0 already), I’m curious to see what people think she’ll do. We’ll finally be seeing her go back to the Fatui after her break in Fontaine, she’s returning with the world formula just seemingly in her back pocket, so it’s pretty exciting to think of what she could still offer story wise.

With it now being over 24 hours since 6.7 dropped, I’m curious to hear takes on the story (for those who have done it). Did you enjoy it? Were you not a fan of it? Are you 50/50 on it? I’ve seen constant posts and tweets again mentioning how no Pulonia is a total flop for her character, how the shorter skirt makes her design a 0/10, and how she’s a new character with just the name Sandrone attached to her. But what I’m curious about and think should be addressed, is the literal whole new story that we got about her.

I for one think this was a perfect way to wrap up Sandrone’s character as well as her ties to the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. Going from how she started off in Nod Krai, to hating the idea of a sacrifice, to then sacrificing herself, was beautiful. And it didn’t even end there. After learning about how her life was, and how she always lost people, it was so sad. She had people alive who cared about her, yet all the pain she experienced in the past made her just push away the good people that remained in her life. It took her up until that quest to figure it out, and it was just beautiful. Her losing Alain, Pulonia, Signora, and originally Columbina, shaped her into such a fascinating character and really gave us a story relating to loss and how some people deal with it. If there’s one thing I would change, I’d probably make the quest a little longer and have Sandrone talk just a tad bit more with other Fontainians. All in all, I’m really interested in seeing how her character develops even further during the 7.x story.

Sandrone aside of course, it was nice seeing some of the Fontaine characters briefly again, Columbina, as well as Citlali. Even if some of those characters aren’t my cup of tea, development in quests like this is always welcomed for me.

Overall, I’d probably give this event quest a straight up 9/10. The only thing I’m curious about is Fagio, as she had no appearances in the quest at any point. Someone do correct me if I somehow missed something, but I don’t recall any physical appearance or mention of her at all. Though at the start of the tea time introduction dialogue, Sandrone name drops Fagio as if we met her already. Is she maybe going to appear in a future quest or something?

Anyways, I’d love to hear some other thoughts on the quest and maybe what you think Hoyo could’ve done differently in it.

But does anyone else just miss being able to talk about this character and discuss the theories surrounding her character and story?

Back during Lazzo all the way in 2022, we saw her with Pulonia. Everyone loved the idea of a small girl with a big robot. And I agree, it was cool. Even when we got to Nod Krai everyone loved her design even though it still had some elements that lots of Hoyo’s female character designs have.

Now here we are less than two weeks away from her release, and she has a female robot and a shorter skirt now. I get the criticism about these changes, but it really sucks how you can’t even appreciate her design and characterization anymore, without people just calling you a shill or slop eater. Did I love Pulonia? Yes. Am I interested in the new robot and will I miss Pulonia? Yes. Did I prefer the shorter skirt but still like her new design? Yes. Again, I did love the appeal of her old design and the vibes it gave, but it sucks seeing so many people act as if this character isn’t even Sandrone anymore. I’ve seen people get jumped countless times and call defenders just because they still appreciate the character that they’ve been enjoying for the longest.

Anyways, I just had to get this rant out because I miss when people seemed to actually enjoy discussing this character, but now all you see is just people trashing her left and right and saying she’s no longer Sandrone and that everything about her was false marketing. It seems this subreddit is now the last place where you can still have criticism about the design, but still enjoy her character.

For those worried about that leak mentioning the lack of Pulonia (even though that wasn’t among the confirmed parts of the entire kit leak), I still want to send these images for those who still doubt he’ll be in Sandrone’s kit.

Pulonia’s model name is SkillObj_Marionette_Pulonia. For those unaware, SkillObj is always used to name models that appear in the kits/animations of characters. Other examples include Ifa’s gun (that we see in his normal and charged attacks) and Mavuika’s sunglasses (that we see in a quick animation when she hops off her motorcycle). It’s always SkillObj which will be followed by the name of the playable character.

Other SkillObj examples not included among the screenshots are Alhaitham’s second sword in his normal attack string, Citlali’s novel in her idle animation, and even Capitano’s ice sword.

Just wanted to make this post since we’re entering THAT era of leaks, and I feel as if this is the era when things start to get crazy when every little leak comes out. Regardless, have hope in the goat Pulonia, and may we all get C6 Sandrone in one ten pull.
