To the Indian girl at the entrance of Erlangen Arcaden (near dunkin donut)today — I came back with a lighter, but you were gone

This is probably a long shot, but I’ve been thinking about this interaction all day and I figured Reddit might do its thing.

Today, sometime around the afternoon/evening, I was sitting near the entrance of Erlangen Arcaden close to Dunkin Donuts, rolling a cigarette with my tabak.

An Indian girl came up to me (also an indian) and asked if I had a cigarette. I didn’t have a packed one left, so I gave you the one I had just rolled for myself. Then we realized neither of us had a lighter.

For some reason, instead of just leaving it there, I rushed back inside Arcaden to buy cigarettes and a lighter so we could actually smoke and maybe talk for a bit. But when I came back out, you were already gone.

I know this sounds dramatic for such a short interaction, but something about your energy felt different. Calm, warm, genuine — hard to explain. It felt like one of those random moments that stays in your head longer than it should.

Maybe you’ll never see this. Maybe you were just passing through Erlangen. But if by some coincidence you do read this, I’d honestly love to talk properly sometime. Even if it’s just to finally light that cigarette.

Looking for Procurement / SCM / Consulting Internship in Germany – Master’s Student, Available Immediately

Hey everyone,
I am a Master’s student in Supply Chain Management and I am actively looking for a Pflichtpraktikum in one of these areas:
Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Einkauf
Supply Chain Management / Logistics
SCM Consulting / Smart Factory / Operational Excellence
A bit about me:
I have three internships across manufacturing, B2B services and healthcare — including hands-on work in RFQ management, supplier evaluation, SAP MM, offer comparisons, spend analysis and logistics coordination. I hold a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and have formal training in JIT Lean Production and the Toyota Production System. I also researched Industry 4.0 technologies (RFID, IoT, Blockchain, Agentic AI, ML in SCM) as part of my studies.
What I am looking for:
Company size: any — from small Mittelstand to large corporations
Location: anywhere in Germany, fully open to relocation
Start: immediately or from June/September 2026
Duration: minimum 3 months, ideally 6 months
Languages: English C1, German B1
Why I might be a good fit:
I am not just looking to tick a box. I genuinely want to understand how supply chains work, where they break and how to make them better. I have applied to over 50 companies in the past months and I am still hungry for the right opportunity.
If you work in procurement, SCM or consulting and your team has space for an intern — or if you know someone who might — I would really appreciate a message or a lead.
CV available on request. Open to all sectors.
Thanks in advance.
