Doesn’t want to walk on walks
My dog, a 9 year old border terrier, doesn’t want to walk during our walks. It’s not that she absolutely refuses to move. She either moves extremely slow with stops or she just sits down and does nothing. Which leads to me pulling on her leash or luring her to me with a piece of dog food. (I don’t give her the piece to avoid her thinking she’s being rewarded.) This behaviour mostly occurs during the start and mid of the walk but during the end, she’s ahead of me.
However, when I take her to somewhere else for a walk like next to farmland or a pasture; She seems to have no problems and is walking even ahead of me.
Does anyone have advice on how to change this? Or maybe why she does this?
