I am playing through TTA after hitting a wall years ago

I am currently at the point of the game where Idrial is separated from the part, I have not been levelling her as we've exclusively been using berethor, elegost and hadhog and do not have access to level her or swap gear. The next fight has her solo and killed in a turn.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Backup is at helms deep
