Anyone else concerned about these unregulated school transportation ads in Brampton?
I keep seeing ads around Brampton offering paid school pick-up/drop-off services, and I’m honestly getting tired of seeing this shit with seemingly no transparency about who is actually operating these services.
I came across this particular ad and asked the person whether they have the appropriate commercial insurance, licensing, driver abstracts, police/vulnerable-sector checks, and whatever vehicle requirements apply to transporting children for compensation.
They haven’t responded.
I’m not claiming this specific operator is illegal because I don’t know that for a fact. My issue is that if you’re taking money to transport children, parents should be able to ask basic questions about insurance, licensing, and driver screening and get a straight answer.
Has anyone here actually used services like this or know what the requirements are in Brampton/Peel? Because I feel like there are a lot of these operations being advertised with very little accountability.
