Leadership pushing a strategy bound to fail. How do you navigate?
Hey everyone, looking for advice from anyone who’s survived a setup like this.
Executive leadership is forcing a flawed strategy that I’m almost certain will fail.
The situation
- Requires constant overtime and intensive daily grinding from my side
- Has a very high scapegoating risk - When it inevitably crashes, I’m positioned to be the one who shall be blamed for the failure and risk losing my job
- Zero Upside to my CV- The path leadership has decided to take adds zero value to my resume or career growth.
I feel trapped between burning out on a sinking ship or taking the fall when it hits the wall.
How do you navigate a situation like this? What are the best ways to cover my ass in such cases?
Appreciate any advice!
