I saw a white deer in my dream last night.

Where I live there are a couple of albino deer people see, but I’ve never seen one. A white deer showed up in my dream last night, in a wooded field clearing. I can’t remember anything else except that. Any interpretations?

Looking for food suggestions (or other tips)

I am looking for help, my ACL quad autograft coming up on 6 weeks post op and my quad is just not working. Flexion is fine and progressing. I saw my surgeon today and he’s concerned. We did an x-ray and another MRI. My quad tendon is very weak looking where graft was taken, but still looking intact. I tripped last weekend and had some pain/swelling that set me back a bit. I cannot do a straight leg lift. I am hitting PT hard and using electrodes. I am trying hard to put all my energy into this—I am struggling with the neural pathway connection to strength. Anyone done research on foods that help aid ligaments? I eat fairly healthy, but wondering if anyone has insight on this topic. Thanks!

Edit: if anyone has supplements to recommend open to that as well!

Looking for book recs/cookbooks

Hi everyone, my older mom recently became diagnosed with a diabetic condition after feeling dizzy/faint. She spent a week in the hospital and is learning how to live much differently now. Are there any great books/cookbooks I could get for her? She doesn’t use the internet a lot. I also don’t know much either, and I don’t know what type she has. Thank you!

Can you smell hard water while shampooing someone?

Alright hair stylists—I got my haircut today and my gal said she could smell the hard water from my home only while washing. I am incredibly self conscious now! I wash my hair every other day and usually do a double wash. Is this real? What can I do to fix this? Is it a bad smell? I did not ask.

4 weeks post op - quad autograft. No leg lift yet. Stop using electrode machine?

Hey ya’ll, 4 weeks post op today. My flexion has been a slow go—I’m between 80 and 90 usually. But the bigger issue at this point is that my quad has not fired. I’ve been doing electro therapy 1-2 times a day, plus other quad exercises. I’m worried the electrode machine I’m using is making my pelvic floor have weird sensations. Anyone else have this issue? I see my PT tomorrow. Looking for any suggestions or advice with quad strength or experience with the electrode machine.

Extreme pain ACL surgery yesterday 😞

I got lucky and my medial meniscus no longer needed the repair that was seen with the MRI, so just ACL with quad autograft.
I am so glad I asked here and was encouraged to get a second opinion. The staff was incredible the whole time—from desk, all the nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon everyone was so kind. I had a 3 hour drive home yesterday so I was given one of those nausea/anti motion sticker patches behind my ear. I took it off today and the dry mouth/blurry vision is real.

Yesterday when I woke up from surgery I was in immense pain. I got the works—fentanyl, nerve blocks, etc… They gave me another dose and said I was maxed out on meds. I could feel the blocks wearing off at about 9-10pm. I’ve been strictly following med procedures. 1-2 oxy every 6, acetaminophen every 6, baby aspirin twice a day, stool softener twice a day. But this pain is crazy, I’ve never felt anything like it. Getting up and going to the bathroom is a massive chore and I need help to stand up. I’ve been elevating, ice machine I just keep on, and an ice pack under my knee. Every inch I move shoots so much pain, and the pressure pain standing up is almost unbearable. Just laying down elevating and the pain never stops. Is this normal? Thank you all.
